Joy Patterson
Event Organizer and Creator of Wearable Art
Joy Patterson Wurthmann was a bored, transplanted housewife living in Rochester, NY and working from her home. More recently, Joy decided that while transplantation is fine with her, bored and housewife did not fill her desires. Joy moved to NYC with $12 and a train ticket. Joy now lives in Brooklyn. When she is not busy watching Jenny Jones and shopping the QVC, she co-produces a giant Fashion/Art extravaganza called No Frills. These glamazonian events benefit local (wherever that particular show is) youth-related AIDs educational programming and involve 20 or more multi-media artists (such as sculptors making wearable art, videographers, photographers performance artists and much, much more. She is currently collaborating with another artist, researching the "Panties in a Bunch" phenomenom as well as fellow puppeteer and circus performer Aaron Kellc in creating a toy-theatre show. |
